Crafting unforgettable moments with Magnificent Weddings at C. Krishniah Chetty Group
Introducing our magnificent couple – Solene and Sanketh, a match made in Golden State Heaven, together, they are a formidable force of talent, success, and above all, love, featured in our “happily ever after” series, Presented by Times of India in association with C. Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers as a Times Special Promotional Feature.
Solene and Sanketh Just Got Married!
Marriage is said to be the union of two spirits connected by love and respect. It also represents the coming together of two diverse families. Solene narrates the story of her fairytale wedding with Sanketh and her love for jewellery shopping in India.
Hailing from a small town in San Diego, Solene excelled in academics, taking her to Yale on several scholarships and a frontrunner in the world of finance in New York. Sanketh, an accomplished engineer, was always an avid reader and a topper in academics. The two soon realized how much they had in common; accomplished academicians and trailblazers in their respective fields.
Both animal lovers, the couple adopted two dogs, Pablo and Huxley, before they decided to tie the knot, already making them a happy family of four!
They began planning the wedding almost two years before the actual day. After Covid, they were still in the thick of the ‘wedding boom’ that resulted from all the folks who had to delay their weddings during the pandemic. This translated into a scenario where it was necessary to plan far in advance to book venues during the popular summer months.
Goodies for the Guests
There was delight organized for their guests at their big-fat dream wedding. Before the dancing, guests were also able to pick up jewellery and turbans from the bangle/safa bar that they had on board. Having a ‘safa bar’ was a late-breaking addition to the event.
“Since, I was taking inventory of all the cool fashion jewellery I got for the ladies (earrings, bangles, rings, necklaces, haath phools, etc.), and realised that there was nothing for the guys. So, I reached out to one of the amazing salespeople at Polka Bangalore to help me out. It was only two weeks before the event, but he went above and beyond in sourcing gorgeous safas and express shipping them to us.” says Solene.

Walking Down the Aisle in Style
Sangeet, wedding and reception attire were also exclusive and bespoke to fit the exquisite tastes of the bride and groom.
For the wedding, the groom opted for formal wear, including a Ferragamo tie covered with birds (the bride adores birds and volunteers to rehabilitate injured birds), a Ted Baker suit, and a floral pocket boutonniere. Cole Hahn shoes and the Omega Speedmaster Apollo 50th anniversary watch completed the look.
Solene chose two wedding dresses: one for pre-ceremony photos and one for the ceremony itself. To complete her look, Solene embraced the tradition of ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue’ for luck. This included the Columbian Emerald neckpiece from C. Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers.
