2019 – Reminiscing some of the highpoints of the year gone by…
Events often get to the chopping block when businesses face a budget crunch though they are great opportunities for employees, customers and other stakeholders to interact with each other. The moments will be fun, memorable helping all involved unwind from the routine.
At CKC, we consider all customer events to be special and conduct these often. We look forward to meeting our customers face to face and improving our relationships with them. In this context, 2019 was a great year, a time when several events were successfully organised. Here’s a snapshot of what was done.
1. Thursday Bulao
The practice can be traced back to the early 1900s when CKC Jewellers would be summoned to the royal palace every Thursday by The Maharaja of Mysore for a brief on the royalty’s requirements for special jewellery. We cherish this practice and on the occasion of the Sesquicentennial Year Anniversary, we thought we would recreate this custom with our Thursday Bulao. Held every Thursday from 4.30 PM – 6.30 PM at our four main showrooms, the event includes complimentary High Tea and live music and has been a hit with our customers.
2. International Yoga Day
Yoga is the best tool to connect the mind, body and soul and the CKC Foundation organised and celebrated International Yoga Day in Touchstone and six CKC-supported schools. Around 200 children and teachers participated in the event. CKC Employees participated at Touchstone and were instructed by Mr. Phoolchand.
3. No Bad Touch workshop
On 13th July’19 and 24th August’19, the CKC Foundation in association with ‘Helping Hand Films’ and ‘FICCI Flo’ Bengaluru conducted a “No Bad Touch” workshop for underprivileged school children of Urdu School and Karnataka Public School to create awareness.
4. Women Bikers Rally
On the occasion of our 150th Anniversary Celebrations, women bikers and children paraded on bikes on 8th August’19 to celebrate the spirit of Independence Day from our Touchstone showroom to Heritage showroom. It was indeed a memorable day with all those bold and beautiful women in fray.
5. Independence Day Celebrations
CKC Jewellers celebrated the 73rd Indian Independence Day on 15th August 2019. On 6th August, Col. Vijender Kadyan shared information and interesting anecdotes on the struggles and sacrifices of our freedom fighters, martyrs and soldiers with the children of 5 CKC adopted schools.
6. KWAA – 2019
The KWAA (Karnataka Women Achievers Award) was held on 30th November 2019 at Taj Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru. Special awards were given to 10 differently-abled women achievers and 20 women received the “Karnataka Women Achievers Award-2019” for their outstanding contributions in diverse fields.
7. Retail Employees Day, 2019
Retail Employees Day was celebrated on 12th December 2019 at Touchstone. Dolu Kunitha was arranged to welcome the Managing Director, Directors and all employees of the CKC Group. Employees who served in the organization for 25 years, 15 years, 10 years and 5 years received mementos for their distinguished service.
CKC Group of Jewellers strongly focuses on building relationships with customers. We love to interact with them, understand what they need and address those issues. We will continue to do what it takes to engage with our customers to ensure their emerging requirements are met as we pursue our vision of becoming the jeweller of choice for all discerning customers of gold and diamond jewellery.
